Last night we hosted an exclusive Lincoln Reveal Night at the dealership to unveil the new 2015 Lincoln MKC. The vehicle was in our showroom for only a day for training and the reveal. I have been anticipating this event for the last couple of months as I've been learning a lot about the vehicle through research for work and because of my own personal interest in it. I've been planning on purchasing a new vehicle this summer and to be honest, have never entertained the idea of owning a Ford/Lincoln.
I'm Chinese and as the stereotype goes, we usually don't drive Fords/Lincolns - we drive Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas and other such imports lol. Well for me, it's not just a stereotype.I currently drive an Acura and every car I've ever borrowed from my parents, brother or friends have been one of the above so Ford/Lincoln has never been on my radar.
Anyways, since I have been getting a lot more exposure to Ford/Lincoln, I'm starting to really like what they have to offer; and now that the MKC has arrived, I'm seriously considering switching sides! I've done comparisons with other similar models to the Lincoln MKC - Lexus RX, Audi Q5, Mercedez M-Class and Acura RDX, and the MKC definitely gives you more bang for your buck! And I'm not just saying that because I work here; remember, I'm an Acura girl... and plus, I'm Asian - we know a good deal when we see one! (lol ...and the stereotyping continues). I've never driven a Lincoln before and therefore I've never considered the brand when purchasing a vehicle. I think most people are the same way; it's not that you are afraid to try something new or have anything against other brands, it's the fact that you just don't know - either you've never tried, you're not exposed to it EVER and/or maybe it just doesn't come up in conversations because no one else you know or trust has had any experience with the product - so it doesn't ever cross your mind. I'm one for trying new things and going outside of the norm, so I'm definitely up for being the first out of my family and friends to drive a Lincoln. And mark my words - I won't be the last! If you haven't had a chance to see the MKC yet, it will be available at the dealership in about a month or two.
We also have a waiting list for it, so if you want to be one of the first people to cruise around Edmonton with one of these babies, start doing your research (http://www.lincoln.com/crossovers/mkc/reveal/) and give us a call (780-434-8411) when you're ready to ask all the necessary questions. Our Lincoln Specialists will be able to give you all the details you need to make an informed decision. Or you can wait until I get one and read about my experience with it (not as exciting). :)
